Let Kiki Howell’s newest book, LOVE, CREATIVITY AND MAGICK, take you away into the magical world of witches and vampires and that one special day of romance, Valentine’s Day.

Purchase Love, Creativity and Magick at All Romance Ebooks, Amazon and Smashwords.

All acts of magick take on shades of gray in the end, especially for Emma, one of four females witches who by birthright belong in the social circles of the privileged upper ten thousand in London. Yet, by rumor of the unknown and the misunderstood, she stands apart, cut by her peers along with her cousins, because they hold a secret—each is gifted with magick.

Their elders had taught them respect for their powers even when mixed with a spanking amount of fanciful mischief. On the other hand, if a lesson was warranted, then white verses black magick could be hard to define. Nowhere was the color of steam more evident than in the matters of justice, a slippery term to define. Yet, they’d made breaking the laws of society their mission. Most of their nights at parties and balls were spent creating a magickal comedy of errors, helping the uptight aristocracy side step their fastidious standards.

Only this year, days before Valentine’s Day, a damnable day for women without suitors, Emma is not quite sure what is happening to her. Something dark and seductive, something not of this world, is luring her, possessing her, and she has no comprehension of what or who the presence really is. But, when he does show his face finally, and she feels him to be a nightwalker, she must fear not only the threat he poses to her blood and to the energy or magick he can suck from her, but also the danger he poses to her heart. After all of these days feeling him, wanting him, she has to wonder if her feelings are just a matter of his compulsion, if she is under this vampire’s own type of magick.

To complicate matters further, the vampire’s propositions are as exciting as they are scandalous, to teach her how to power her magick with the overabundance of sexual energy she bears. But, how he knows such things he remains elusive about. And there is the added attraction that this vampire was a failed inventor in life, one with a basement full of contraptions she finds she can power through the use of her sexual energy. Valentine’s Day seems like it could be all kinds of fun this year now.

Yet, in these days of social unrest and out-of-control creativity, what is a witch to do with a vampire? When Valentine’s Day rolls around, and a secret is revealed, what will be left for her?

Buy Now – $3.99

Back home and retired to her own bedroom, she flew to her glass doors, which lead onto her balcony. Stopping short of throwing them open, she saw a man, his outline a shadow against the gas lamps on the street. Stepping closer, unable to resist, she could see how his head was raised to a proud angle, and how his wicked smile brightened his dark eyes. A sudden wave of panic bred of realization washed over her.

“Why Emma, your body gives off the heat of sexuality like the flame of a candle blowing in a breeze. I have been burnt by its sparks all night as I’ve watched you.” The low timbre of his voice was erotic and intimate, wrapping her in comfort. “Drop the protective spell which bars me from your room. Let me in. You know me. It is I, the one you have been feeling for weeks. It is my presence you now long for.”

“You’re a…”

“Yes I am,” he cut her off. “I knew a powerful witch such as yourself would know what I am once I got close enough to you. Such is the reason why you had to get to know me first, from a distance. I didn’t compel you if that is what you think, but let you feel me. I opened myself to you, every night for months, to let you get to know me. And, I thank whatever there is that is still blessed in this world, that because of my actions, my abilities, you have come to want me as well. I can feel it, it burns within you; a flame I blew on, made come to life. Now there you stand with a raging fire all your own to save the likes of this cold-blooded vampire.”

Her mind went through the ominous and the seductive possibilities before her. As one of the walking dead, beyond his threat to the blood, which coursed through her veins, a vampire could suck from her the energy that made her magickal. Be that as it may, the chance to be at the mercy of this man was alluring nonetheless in a way she could not possibly comprehend or explain. He was so much stronger than her, dangerous even, and this excited a place in her that even she didn’t know existed. It was juxtaposed to everything she did, stood for. She may use her gifts, even at times at the expense of others, to rebel against social morals and rules, but she wasn’t reckless. Yet, the idea of giving herself to him, naked and wanton, made her feel even stronger.

She did feel she knew him, had been getting to know him in an intimate way over time. She’d welcomed the presence even when she felt it was driving her mad, when her pulse raced and her head got hazy just because she could feel him near. His touch, his kiss, she wanted. Desperately. How had she missed what he was? Was it a matter of compulsions? Did he just out right lie? Was he using some sort of mind energy, specific to his kind on her, even before tonight, before this first face-to-face meeting? His kind certainly weren’t above it. They hungered for a witch’s magick, and after they drained them of their energy, they drained them of their blood. The same had happened to her aunt just a little under a year ago.

She knew though, beyond a shadow of any doubt, that sexual tension wound tight like twine around the bristles of a broom inside her. And, the two of them were still separated by glass, a frail barrier she wanted to break to get to him. She had to be under his type of spell, so to speak, and knew not what she would do next.

Hi peeps!

Cassandra Dean here, with the skinny on my latest release. I’m so pleased to be able to chat with all you lovely people, and big thanks to Mit from Sexy Reads for facilitating it!

I’m also super excited to announce that TEACH ME, an early Victorian erotic romance, is now available through Decadent Publishing as of today. Yes, today the 21st of February is release day! Huzzah! TEACH ME has been a labour of love for me, from the first moment the idea popped into my head until this very proud day, when I get to share the adventures of Elizabeth and Malvern with you all.

TEACH ME has a bit of a funny beginning. I was at a bit of a dark period in my life and as such I had absolutely no creativity in me whatsoever. To cheer myself, I decided to fulfil one of my lifelong ambitions, and booked myself a three-month holiday to Europe. It had been ages since I’d written, and when I was packing for my trip, I made the conscious decision not to take paper and pen with me. I won’t write anything, thought I.

First up on the trip was a short stay in London. A friend from university had moved to London a few years previous, and she very graciously allowed me to sleep on her lounge whilst there. After hanging out with her and her peeps for a few days, I headed on up to Glasgow to begin a bus tour of Scotland. At the time, I was in my late 20s and was the second youngest person on the tour by about 20 years.

It was somewhere on the way from Glasgow to Carlisle (which isn’t in Scotland, but was included on the tour as our introduction to Hadrian’s Wall) that I realised staring at the back of the grey heads of my fellow bus tour goers was not that exciting. As such, I started to daydream–and then, suddenly, the final scene of what would become TEACH ME popped into my head. I tried to ignore it, but the scene wouldn’t go away. I keep seeing this cold, remote man, watching a woman across the ballroom floor. From afar, she teased him, and only they two knew he was affected and, what’s more, amused. All afternoon, this scene tormented me. They just wouldn’t leave, this cold man and the joyful woman he watched, and so I realised I had to write it all down.

Of course, due to my bone headedness, I had no paper and pen to record it. Cursing myself, I anxiously awaited our destination for that evening. Upon arrival, I rushed to my room and breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the little pad and pen emblazoned with the hotel’s name set on the writing desk. That night, I wrote the scene down and plotted out what I thought would be a short story. The next day, we made a stop in a small town, and I went straight for a stationary shop to buy myself a proper notebook. The rest, as they say, is history…and also, not a short story ;p

So what is this TEACH ME all about?

Ever curious, Elizabeth, Viscountess Rocksley, has turned her curiosity to erotic pleasure. Three years a widow, she boldly employs the madame of a brothel for guidance but never had she expected her education to be conducted by a coldly handsome peer of the realm.

To the Earl of Malvern, the erotic tutelage of a skittish widow is little more than sport, however the woman he teaches is far from the mouse he expects. With her sly humor and insistent joy, Elizabeth obliterates all his expectations and he, unwillingly fascinated, can’t prevent his fall.

Each more intrigued than they are willing to admit, Elizabeth and Malvern embark upon a tutelage that will challenge them, change them, come to mean everything to them…until a heartbreaking betrayal threatens to tear them apart forever.

Sounds pretty nifty, right? Of course, I might be biased. :p Would you like a bit more? Then have a gander at the excerpt!

Moments passed, the Earl’s impassive gaze weighing heavy upon Elizabeth. An overwhelming urge to twist her fingers assaulted her, but what if her fidgeting made him refuse?

He seemed to make some decision. “I shall show you carnal pleasure, madam. As you say, both to receive and to give. However, pregnancy should be avoided at all costs.” His eyes flickered, the first sign of something resembling emotion crossing his face. “I will not marry you, no matter the circumstance.”

Well, of course he wouldn’t. She wouldn’t wed him either. In any event, conception was not a concern for her, not after a marriage that had never yielded—

Good Lord. He spoke of practical application. He spoke of touching and kissing and—Was it warmer of a sudden?

He continued with barely a pause. “Actual penetration will be avoided. While many people extol the virtues of withdrawal, I remain unconvinced. We will discuss methods of contraception during your education, but the most effective method is always avoidance. You are in agreement?”

Still confused but now with cheeks aflame, Elizabeth nodded. In all her life, no one had ever spoken so frankly. This, combined with his matter-of-fact manner and lack of emotion, banished any lingering apprehension and left only the excitement. Glorious, thrilling excitement.

“Excellent.” Stepping close to her once more, he brushed his hand from her neck to her shoulder, the back of his fingers now warm against her skin. “Shall we begin?”

And now, a contest!

A Tale of Two Authors (they’re both me)
By CJ Roberts (aka Jennifer Roberts)

Hello!

First, I’d like to give a HUGE thank you to Mit for allowing me to guest blog for Sexyreads. As an indie author I’m forced to be absolutely shameless in my pursuit of free publicity. Thanks Mit.

Second, I’m positive most of you have no idea who I am, so I should probably take a few moments to introduce myself. I’m CJ Roberts and I write smut.

What kind of smut?
All kinds.

Most recently though, I’ve enjoyed a certain amount of indie success as the author of Captive in the Dark. Released in September of 2011, it has sold approximately three thousand copies and I have somehow managed to gain a small following. I am currently working on the sequel, Seduced in the Dark by CJ Roberts, due for release in September of 2012.

Captive in the Dark
Caleb is a man with a singular interest in revenge. Kidnapped as a young boy and sold into slavery by a power-hungry mobster, he has thought of nothing but vengeance. For twelve years he has immersed himself in the world of pleasure slaves searching for the one man he holds ultimately responsible. Finally, the architect of his suffering has emerged with a new identity, but not a new nature. If Caleb is to get close enough to strike, he must become the very thing he abhors and kidnap a beautiful girl to train her to be all that he once was.

Eighteen-year-old Olivia Ruiz has just woken up in a strange place. Blindfolded and bound, there is only a calm male voice to welcome her. His name is Caleb, though he demands to be called Master. Olivia is young, beautiful, naïve and willful to a fault. She has a dark sensuality that cannot be hidden or denied, though she tries to accomplish both. Although she is frightened by the strong, sadistic, and arrogant man who holds her prisoner, what keeps Olivia awake in the dark is her unwelcome attraction to him.

WARNING: This book contains very disturbing situations, dubious consent, strong language, and graphic violence.

Print – $10.99 eBook – $3.84

I was very nervous about Captive in the Dark, because the subject matter is somewhat distasteful and taboo, so I also decided to write short stories under the name Jennifer Roberts. Surprisingly, Jennifer is less successful – guess we’re all just some sick puppies ;)

Still, it has worked out for me to have more than one alter ego. CJ is a very dark person, with a sharp, but almost maudlin perspective on life and what’s sexy. Jennifer is a party girl who’s down for sex just about anywhere. I enjoy spending time with both.

Shameless plug ahead:

For more information on CJ and Jennifer Roberts, visit: www.aboutcjroberts.com

Warning: poetry ahead

“Do Me No Harm”
By: CJ Roberts

It’s frightening the way you know me
As if I’m trapped under a microscope only you can see
All my mystery unraveled
All of me exposed
With you I’m free to be me – to really just be

My naughty little secrets hidden in my mind
My defenses and walls are nothing – I know that you will find
All my secrets scattered in your wind
All my temptations open to your will
Only you know how this slave has pined

Your sadistic little smile
Go on and make me walk the mile
Elbows tied together
Corset tied down tight
My high heeled steps clicking in single file

Spank me with your bare hand – force a slew of hot tears
Wrap your fingers in my hair – I shiver in my fears
I’ve missed you for so long
I ached for your cruel touch
Place the ball gag in my mouth so that now no one can hear

I feel no shame as I linger in your arms
You kiss and caress me, seduce me with your charm
I never thought I could love like this
I never knew anyone could understand
I’ll love you forever if you do me no harm – none but the kind that’s done with your arm

Don’t miss out on your chance to be enthralled by this wonderful contemporary romance, full of everything you would expect when a woman is exploring her sexuality during the 1980’s.

Don’t Call Me Baby by Elizabeth Black
DON’T CALL ME ‘BABY’ is a fast-paced, quick-witted, sexy, novel about a young woman exploring her sexuality and the cultural morés she collides with on a daily basis.

It’s 1983 in Maryland and Catherine Stone is sex on wheels. She plays the field the way men have done for aeons. Not content to strive for her MRS degree like so many young women her age, she seduces men of all stripes – married college professors, theatre students, virgins, complete strangers who intrigue her. She has already cost one man his job.

She asks herself lots of questions on her search to enjoy her sexuality. Why don’t other women enjoy their sex as much as she does? Why do so many women and men look down on sexually free women, calling them sluts while sexually free men are called studs and Lotharios? She bucks at the double standards! Catherine has made no commitment to any man. She’s free to explore and she gladly does so. No man can tie her down and no woman’s judgment will stop her from playing the field to her heart’s content.

Does she meet her match in a new man who introduces her to sexual bliss she had never before experienced? When she tries multiple partners and bondage for the first time as a submissive, she believes she’s found the sexual bliss she is looking for – and with a man who not only introduces her to the fineries in life but also cares about her like no man ever has before.

Catherine Stone looked around the amusement park and rides but saw nothing unusual. It was the end of another hot and humid day in Maryland during the summer of 1983. The sun had set behind the trees, casting shadows across the park hiding the car she sat in to some extent. Catherine wished it were a bit darker outside, because she was in constant fear of getting caught, but it was a hot June evening, so that was too much to ask for. Besides, the possibility of getting caught thrilled her, made the encounter all the more exciting for her. Every horn blowing and car pulling in made her hair stand on end. Will this be the cop who pulls us over? Can we get away with me sucking him off here yet again?

She unzipped Brian’s trousers, and slipped her hand inside. Reaching into his briefs, her fingers wrapped around his growing cock and it jumped at her touch. Brian is so predictable. All he ever wants is for me to suck his cock. Good thing I demand a good, expensive meal after these trysts, or I’d get nothing out of them. She pulled his cock out of his trousers, feeling the organ spread out in her palm.

“Oh, that feels good. I love it when you stroke me off.”

She stroked his shaft, gripping him harder as her hand reached the base. Every time she squeezed, his cock jumped in her hand. She liked the way it looked and felt in her hand. Purple with arousal and thick with veins, the well-formed head glistened with pre-cum. In her years since starting college she had enjoyed many different types of cocks and Brian’s was especially hot because it was so big and he was uncircumcised. She liked the look of hard cocks. When they were hard they were so sensitive. A twist a little too far this way or that way could hurt, yet she knew from what past lovers had told her, the pain felt so good. She liked pulling Brian’s cock too far; just to get a painful, yet aroused reaction out of him. Although she felt impatient, she relished the fact that she was a good lay. Her blowjob skills had improved greatly over the months, and she could also make Brian come very quickly with her hand jobs.

As she gently rolled back his foreskin and stroked his growing shaft, she cradled his balls in her other hand. She liked the way his cock grew to nearly twice its size, when all she did was brush her fingers against it. It felt hard yet sinewy, like a garden hose full of water. She enjoyed the effect she had on him, and she relished her power. Sex was a heady power surge, and Catherine could not get enough of it.

Brian’s cock was big; longer and thicker than other cocks she had the pleasure of sucking and fucking. Plus, at his age of fifty-eight, he stayed harder for a longer time, and it took him much longer to come than men her own age of twenty-two. Catherine never faked orgasms. She liked sex so much that she had no trouble coming every time she fucked. When she didn’t feel like coming, she simply said so. Faking an orgasm was something she never even considered doing.

Tonight was one night, however, that she wished Brian would hurry up, come, and get it over with. She hated their trysts at the park because she got little if anything out of them. She would much rather stay in a nice hotel and spend the evening fucking without feeling any pressure, but that was not to be this evening. She needed to be at Silver Spring College in the morning for her new summer job. So here she sat, sexually unsatisfied and feeling a bit used wondering when she was going to meet a man who could satisfy her insatiable sexual needs.

Little did she know that several men, including a father and son, would please her over the upcoming summer weeks, including one man who was her match.

“Yes, stroke it, Baby. Go slowly.”

“Don’t call me ‘Baby’.” She hated it when he called her ‘baby’. It made her feel like she was his property. “Baby” was also what her father called her mother when he was trying to excuse his extramarital affairs. He’d say, “I’m sorry, Baby,” when all he was sorry for was getting caught, not the actual affairs themselves. Catherine wondered if she saw married men because of the way her father treated her mother. At least with a married man, he couldn’t force her to be exclusive. She didn’t have to make a commitment to a married man or get too emotionally invested. She was interested in the sex more than the relationship. Whenever Brian called her “Baby”, he reminded her of why she saw married men and that made her feel uncomfortable. She preferred to be called “Honey” which sounded more affectionate. She’d even accept “Hon”, which was a popular term of endearment in her native Baltimore but Brian was from New York. She hated “Baby” because it sounded so crude to her. Her roommate’s obnoxious boyfriend called her “Baby” when he was lying to her, so the word left a bad taste in Catherine’s mouth.

Greetings everyone! My name is Denise McCray and I write sizzling interracial, erotic romance. My heroines and heroes are always striking, and never have a dull day. Quite unlike most of our normal lives, but hey, that’s the reason we love reading and writing fiction.

I have to admit that I’m kind of flaky and constantly change my mind about a variety of things. People kid me concerning my ever-changing hairstyles. One day I may have a head full of curls and the next I’m sporting a sleek bob. Who knows what I’ll do with my hair next week!

But one thing is a constant in my life, and that’s my husband. Sunday, February 19th will be our twenty-ninth wedding anniversary. I know, I know, we’re old people, but that’s better than the alternative. Actually, he and I have been a couple for almost thirty-two years. We met while in college, at a local grocery store. I joke and say he was on my shopping list that day.

This weekend is sort of a mixed bag for me and my wonderful husband though. We’ve been mourning the death of singer/actress Whitney Houston for the past few days. Her music has been the soundtrack of our lives. I practically wore out “The Bodyguard” compact disc, listening to it in the car and while walking on the treadmill at night.

I urge you all take a few moments this weekend to thank your loved ones for being who they are, no matter how infuriating they may be at times. Tomorrow is not promised to us: live and love for today.

Keep it sizzling,
Denise

Denise McCray

Ever the romantic, Denise McCray believes in happily ever afters: happily ever afters with a lot of passion and steamy sex, that is. Hi Folks, Victoria Blisse here.. Thanks firstly to my lovely hubby for hosting me this week so I can join in with the Wednesday Briefs. I managed to book myself up on my own blog so the awesome Mit has rescued me by letting me flash at SexyReads.

Ooo er. The prompt word today is: Haunted House. This is what I’ve done with it!

Picnic at Midnight by Victoria Blisse.

It’s not really haunted. It’s not really haunted. It’s not really haunted.

Are you convinced yet because I really am not. It’s cold, it’s old and it is creaky. I don’t want to be here at all but John asked. Well, he didn’t ask he kind of dared me. He said I was too chicken to go to the old Wilson house. I told him I was not too chicken and that I didn’t even believe in ghosts anyway.
So he told me he’d meet me here at midnight on Valentine’s day. I should have lied and said I had plans.

I could have made up an ardent suitor but I didn’t because, well, because when I’m around John my brain doesn’t function correctly. It’s why I never volunteer to help him on projects at the office. Not because I wouldn’t love to spend time with him, no, it’s because I’d be useless and end up getting myself fired. I’d spend so much time admiring his wide shoulders, tight arse and blue as the sky eyes I’d miss something important in a contract and Boom! I’d be out on my ear.

So I took his stupid dare to spend time with him without getting fired. I swear lust makes my brain melt it really does and I should be beyond all this now at my age and with a failed marriage behind me. I’ve been there, done that and been cheated on. Yet still my body betrays me. As much as I want to live out the rest of my days as a happy spinster, answering to no one but myself I find more and more that I fantasise about love. Not just sex, though I do a lot of that too, truth be told. But love and romance and kisses and hand holding.

I’m a lost cause I really am.

What was that noise? I realise asking you is completely useless, you’re not here and I’m just talking to myself but somehow it makes me feel better to pretend there is someone else here.

Is there someone here?

Oh hell, now I’m asking myself questions, this is not going to end well.

“BOO!”

The noise startles me and I scream. Loudly.

“It’s only me, Penny, it’s only me.”

I don’t stop screaming immediately I am too busy scaring myself shitless to actually pay attention to what is happening.

“John?” I gasp.

“Yeah, it’s me.”

“You bastard,” I yell and slap his arm, “you monstrous bastard.”

“Sorry, Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.”

“Bollocks!” I usually am more ladylike, I assure you. “You jumped out at me and yelled ‘Boo.’ You don’t do that just to say a friendly hello!”

“Okay, okay, you got me there. I couldn’t help myself.”

“Sod.” I mumble.

“Let me make it up to you, come and see why I brought you here.”

I take his proffered hand and he guides me down a long, dusty corridor to a huge door that is standing ajar. There’s soft light streaming through, beckoning us in.

It’s a huge room, like a ballroom. The floor has been swept, at least the centre has been. Candles sit in several candlesticks around the room casting shadows and heat. On the floor in the centre of it all is a blanket and on that is set a bottle of wine, glasses and food. Grapes and chocolates, savoury snacks and fancy bits of stuff on tiny slices of toast.

“What do you think?” He asks, sweeping a hand towards the picnic. “I know you like a picnic, I know you like history so I thought I’d combine the two. It’s also a little warmer in here than trying to have a real picnic outdoors.”

“It’s super,” I reply when I regain the use of words, “but I didn’t know-I mean I didn’t expect –well, I didn’t think you do this for me.”

“I don’t know how you’ve not noticed, I’m always so tongue tied around you.” He smiles at me, his cheeks flush and I feel a rush of excitement.

“I never noticed because I was dumb struck myself. I swear I’ve not said an intelligent word to you since we met.”

“Oh, no, no, you’re always so nice to me, so witty too. I didn’t know how to respond so I didn’t.”
“This is a pretty damn good response though,” I reply with a nod.

“Well, let’s sit down and enjoy.”

I sit on the blanket and he sits right next to me. As he pours champagne I nibble on a breadstick. It all looks so good but I don’t want to eat, well, least I don’t want to eat the food in front of me.
He passes me a glass then takes his own and tilts it forward to tap against mine. Somehow we both completely miss and end up splashing each other with bubbles.

“Oh I’m sorry.”

“No, it was my fault,” he leans in as I do, we both fuss and mutter excuses until our lips meet.
His fingers grip the wet material of my shirt, I run my hand down the centre of his damp chest and our lips dance completely unaware of the damp, the chill and the tumbled over glasses. Sometimes you can say it best when you’re not speaking at all.

And now, I don’t need an imaginary companion anymore, I have a real one and I want to concentrate on him and his fingers as they undo my blouse. Goodbye, friend.

I love that you love me,
That you make my life complete.
A wife that is so wonderful,
You’re good enough to eat.

I love you for your kisses,
so soft, tender and sweet.
Your body pressing against me,
as our lips do meet.

I love you for the melody,
I hear within your voice.
The way your eyes hold me,
A captive, but by choice.

I love you for your gentle hands,
that melt away my pain.
I love you for your loving heart,
That made mine beat again.

I love you for your sweet smile,
Yes Folks, it’s none other than Kiki Howell in my hotseat today.

What was your highlight of 2011?

My first full length novel, Torn Asunder, released in Jan. It’s a great mix of genres: historical (Regency England), paranormal (witches and shapeshifter) and erotic romance. From that some of the most exciting moments in my writing career came. First, I got a cover quote from Bestselling author, Hannah Howell (no relation): “Kiki Howell spins a wonderful tale of passion, magic, betrayal, and a love that conquers all. Enjoy.”</o> Second, I was chosen as an Ohioana Book Festival author for the novel, and got to attend the festival where I did book signings and interviews, etc. Really was treated like a queen for a day to tell the truth!

Any regrets from 2011?

Not really. I try to live in today, and dream of the future – try to stay positive.

What was your most worn clothes in 2011?

I have a tan cabled sweater that is what was once called a carpet duster because it ends at the calves. I have a sweater obsession anyway, and this one is my fav.

What’s the story behind your latest release?

I love stories set in Victorian England, and so I tried my hand at my first steampunk story. Of course, it’s still paranormal and still erotic, including sex magick, so I had a lot of fun setting it at Valentine’s Day, researching the holiday in those times. I’m very excited to say that Love, Creativity & Magick: A Steampunk Valentine’s Day Tale is a current bestseller on All Romance Ebooks in the steampunk category :)

Love, Creativity & Magick
A Steampunk Valentine’s Day Tale

What are the last 10 words you wrote on your current WIP?

I’m currently finishing up the third story in my At War in the Willows Series. How about the last paragraph? I’m long-winded and can’t say anything in 10 words! LOL

“The first glow of light was coming over the horizon, more insistent. He marched up the steps with her, feeling like a prisoner must on death row. Unlocking first the basement door and then the outside door, he handed her over to the world, a world where they could only talk as friends over a bar. At least they had that. But, as a lover, the way he wanted her, he had to watch her walk out of his life.”

What’s the last thing you ate?

Do I have to share that? *blushes* It’s an odd favorite of mine, a peanut butter and bacon sandwich. But I’m very particular about Jif and turkey bacon being used *giggles* Today I had it on a toasted English muffin, but bagels and toast work too. Also, I paired it with my favorite apple, a Pink Lady.

Any plans to tackle a new genre?

Yes, actually. My father is a Vietnam Veteran, and I am working out a plot line for a basic mainstream novel, a feel good type story, about a veteran forty years after the war from his daughters point of view.

Do you have anything “Coming Soon”?

I do! My next release is the first in my At War in the Willows series, a paranormal erotic romance series of three novellas published by Naughty Nights Press. I just put up my new page for the series on my website. You have to check out the wonderful covers for this series.
Going anywhere nice in 2012?

Hopefully back to Salem, MA. My 2010 trip there inspired my novel, Hidden Salem, releasing in April. I hope to go back to Salem for a book tour this summer.

Clouds, Sex and Chocolate

“You’ve got it on the brain,” I said curving my hand over his body and stroking over his crotch. I can feel him hardening through the stiff cotton of his summer shorts.

“Oh, are you complaining?”

“No,” I purr, stroking his dick, feeling it swell in response to my touch, “it’s one of the main reasons I love you.”

“Mm, good.” He kisses along the curve of my neck and I slip my hand under the waistband of his shorts as a reward for his kissing caresses on one of my hottest erogenous zones.

“You’re a naughty thing,” he whispers, “seducing me in such a public place.”

“We’ve not seen a soul all afternoon,” I reply, pulling his erection clear of his pants, “and I really don’t think the sheep in the next field care what we get up too.

“Baaa,” the sheep interject just at that moment and make us chuckle.

“See,” I smile, “they just gave us permission to fuck.”

No Matter What

“But Anna, how could you not tell me who you were?”

“Christopher, you know who I am more than any other person alive.” She lay her hand on his arm, “it’s in my every touch, my every kiss. I never lied to you, I couldn’t lie to you I just couldn’t say that name because I knew it would break my heart.”

He looked as if he were going to speak and then his lips hit hers, his arms wrapped around her and they were kissing with a ferocity neither had experienced before. They wrestled with passion and lust as the importance and depth of their
relationship came apparent. As Christopher pushed a hand up and under her long skirts she reached down to prise him from his formal trousers. They were getting covered in grass stains but they didn’t care.

Valentine’s Master

He stroked past her pussy, low enough for her to feel it but not touching her enough to get her off. She mewled with frustration.

“So tell me, darling, what do you want?”

“I want,” she started, her gaze turned to the floor, “I really want…”

She let the sentence hang then lifted her gaze until she looked her handsome husband directly in the eye.

“I want you to fuck me.”

“That’s a good girl,” he smiled and untied her legs from the bottom corners of the expensive hotel four poster bed, “now I’m going to give you just what you want.”

And the Very Tasty Lucy Felthouse shares with us this little exsquisite morsel.

Butter Fingers

Louise inhaled deeply as she stirred the butter cream mixture. The delicious smell invaded her nostrils and made her mouth water. She’d always loved cooking. Not just for the end result but for each and every stage; from measuring ingredients, stirring them, dipping her finger into the mixture every now and then to check flavors and textures, right through to watching others enjoy the fruits of her labour. You could definitely call Louise a foodie.

So engrossed was she in her task that she didn’t hear Simon come home. He parked the car, unlocked and opened the door, removed his shoes and crept right up behind her. She was none the wiser. Double checking that the utensil in his wife’s hand wasn’t a sharp one, Simon grabbed Louise about the waist and said,

“Honey, I’m home!”

Louise shrieked and jumped, then spun in Simon’s arms to scold him. As she brandished her wooden spoon at him, a blob of the mixture flew off it and landed on his cheek. She giggled, and Simon raised an eyebrow.

“Oh, it’s like that, is it?” Simon asked in a mock-stern manner. “You want a food fight, eh?”

Still laughing, Louise tiptoed to lick the mixture from her husband’s face, sensuously dragging her tongue across his stubble-dotted skin. She noticed his breath catch and, much lower down, something hard digging into her hip.

Pressing Louise against the work surface, Simon reached behind her and stuck his fingers into the bowl she’d been using, scooping up some of the mixture.

Before Louise could react Simon had slicked it onto her face, making sure some went on her lips. Bending, he started to remove the sweet mixture, using maddeningly slow strokes of his tongue, reminding them both of how he liked to tease her clit. He licked off every last drop, deliberately leaving her lips until last. By the time he got there, Louise’s mouth was open and ready, her breath quickening as her arousal increased.

Simon sucked the delightful concoction from his wife’s lips, pulling the plump flesh into his mouth and teasing it for much longer than was necessary. Soon, the two of them were kissing hungrily, their taste buds being tantalized both by one another, and by the sweetness of the mixture they’d both consumed.

She was hooked and spent the next few years lurking in the dark corners of used bookstores searching for her next fix. Until, one marriage and two kids later, her own ideas had her jumping up at 3 am (much to her husband’s annoyance) and typing them into her laptop. Beside her husband and children, Nancy has three passions, rearranging furniture, buying bed linens and, of course, writing. Nancy lives in Eastern Ontario with her family and two over sized lap dogs.

The Saucy Snog:

Her lips were the softest thing he had ever touched, and they tasted like heaven. He watched as her eyelids became heavy and slowly closed. Except for his hand under her chin and his mouth on hers, they weren’t touching, but he was acutely aware of the heat coming from her body. It was strong and alluring and he could feel it start to burn his chest. He cupped the side of her face and deepened the kiss, pressing his mouth firmly against hers, just savouring the feel of her mouth. He slipped his other hand under the back of her shirt and up the smooth skin of her back. Was she this soft everywhere?

She tentatively placed her hands on his chest as he pulled her closer. Her nervous fear once again mixed with that delicate scent. The same sweet fragrance entered his lungs every time he kissed her. Was it arousal? How could it be? Lilly was scared of him—yet here she was in his arms again. There was no way she could be experiencing two such different emotions at the same time. It didn’t make any sense.

He pulled back, waiting for her to open her eyes. He wanted to see if he was right, but when she slowly opened her eyes, those sultry brown beauties were all he could focus on. His cock swelled as he bit out, “Open your mouth for me, Lilly.” He brushed her bottom lipand chin with his thumb and plunged his tongue into her mouth as he kissed her a second time.

Holding her tight against him, Gabe stepped back, pinning her against the wall next to the open door. Releasing her, he braced himself in place with his forearms on the wall next to her head. Lilly’s arms were trapped between their bodies, her palms lying flat on his chest. The touch was light, feminine, and he was enjoying it until her fingers curled and her nails lightly scraped his chest. His cock jerked. It was all he could to keep his hips from thrusting forward. He probed the inside of her velvet mouth with his tongue, fighting to keep his groan trapped in his chest. Lilly needed him to go slowly. He wanted to give her that but damn, he was struggling, because he needed more than just her kiss.

Running his hand up her side, he teased the rounded side of her breast with the backs of his fingers. She trembled in his arms. He inhaled as his lips covered hers. The nervous fear was stronger. He wanted to continue, hoping he was wrong, that she was trembling from desire. He stroked her mouth again, tongue slowly circling hers, and lightly teased the side of her breast again, waiting for the reaction he knew would come.

Moments before her death, medieval history student Lilly Marten mysteriously arrives in the year 1503, where soldier Gabriel Sutherland has been expecting her arrival.

Standing on the battlements of a 16th century Keep was the last place Gabriel Sutherland should be. Then again, being ‘shifted’ to 1503 seconds before a rocket blew his ass to bits wasn’t something he had envisioned either. Still, he was surviving the only way he knew how, as a soldier. Then Lilly arrived. Sweet, innocent Lilly. For a genetically superior soldier whose life had entailed of nothing but serving King and country, the arrival of Lilly proves too much for Gabe to ignore. For the first time in his life, Gabe can have a woman of his own and Lilly is the one.

Lilly Marten lives alone, her quiet life the result of a highly sensitive photographic memory. That changed when she arrived in the year 1503 seconds before Toronto’s popular C.N Tower came crashing down on top of her. Now she was never alone. Gabe was always near. With his unbelievably perfect features and intense green eyes, he is not a man easily ignored. Yet, uncertainty about her new life leaves Lilly with no choice but to put faith in a man she fears and whose strong physical presence causes her to desire more than just his trust.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which means that all over the world people are preparing special days, dates and gifts for their loved ones. For some, this holiday is an opportunity to do something major – something special that shows deep care and devotion to a loved one. For others, Valentine’s Day is little more than a formal tradition, to be recognized by small gifts and gestures, but ultimately no different than any other night.

Regardless of how you treat the holiday, however, there are certain gifts and gestures that are expected by just about everyone on Valentine’s Day, and you would do well to remember them so as to make a good impression on the person you love come holiday time. Here are a few examples.

In most people’s opinions, the most important preparation you can undertake for Valentine’s Day (particularly if you are the man) is to swing by Marks & Spencer to pick up a nice bouquet of flowers or arrangement of roses. Flowers are deeply ingrained as essential elements of Valentine’s Day, and a nice floral arrangement shows your loved one that you care. Nobody dislikes receiving flowers.

A special card is also a lovely way to show a loved one you care, and you can find a large variety of romantic cards to send to your loved one at BlisseCards.

While you’re looking for flowers or cards, you may also want to look around and pick out a nice box of chocolates to give to your loved one. This is no major gift, but it is somewhat traditional, and can be nice as a small gesture. In fact, this may not even necessarily be the type of gift that you present directly – have a box of chocolates and some flowers waiting for your significant other in a strategic location as a nice surprise.

Finally, and most significant of all, be sure to cover dinner. You don’t have to do anything elaborate – it can be anything from a nice dinner at home to an elegant date out on the town. Regardless, however, make an effort to prepare or orchestrate dinner, so as to be giving your loved one a pleasant day.

and don’t forget.. Now with the Internet you can Order Online and have them delivered on the day!

Just before Valentines Victoria Blisse will be running The BIG Blisse Kiss, this is a great way to tell your loved ones how you feel. Write them a special story on your blog, website, facebook notes, etc and then link it on BlisseKiss.co.uk for the world to see your love

Generally, all of the ideas listed above are fairly generic Valentine’s Day traditions and gestures. However, they also serve as a steady foundation for just about any holiday celebration, and can get you off to a good start. Again, some people like to take it easy on Valentine’s Day, and if that’s the case you can leave it at this. However, even if you would prefer to go above and beyond for this particular holiday, you should remember to include at least some of the elements mentioned above. Soon enough you’ll be on your way to an ideal holiday celebration!
