What a Weekend…

It started with a 7am awakening (rude maybe as I’d only had a few hours sleep and sadly non-erotica) thus began the long trek to London for Myself and Victoria Blisse for a very saucy weekend.

Friday Night brought the Book Launch of Tempting Rendezvous at Sh! Hoxton which was a intimate and yet raucous affair with plenty of bubbly, sweets galore and raunchy readings from the delectable Victoria Blisse and Lucy Felthouse, it was a fun night full of laughter and joy and very well received by all who attended. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the Sh! girls for being so lovely to us all.

It was then finally time for food and the gang (Me, Victoria Blisse, Lucy Felthouse and her fella Ian, K D Grace and her fella Raymond) headed to The Breakfast Club (although I was the only one who actually had a Breakfast!) we chatted up a storm and I actually had a sore throat on the tube back to our hotel but it was so worth it, they really were a lovely bunch and so much fun to spend time with.

The next day brought the big event.. Erotica 2011 and my stomach was flipping so much on the tube to Olympia that if it could perfect the dismount I might think of entering it for the London Olympics! We met up with the glamorous Lucy Felthouse and her Naughty Schoolboy at Earls Court for the final leg of the journey to the wild world of Erotica (and what a world it was with beds with all manner of thrusting, strapping, wiggling and buzzing attachments. men with shorts short enough to make your eyes water, adult babies in rompersuits and nappies, women and men in impossible corsets and shoes, all manner of gadgets to stick your bits and pieces into and the gorgeous girls of TelevisionX to name just a few of the sights to behold) it was my first Erotica experience and it was certainly an eye opener but fun with it, I had another chance to chat with the fine folk of friday night but also a few new faces including Matt the new Tech side of Xcite Books and it was fun to geek out with him a little in the midst of all that erotica and a nice mix of my two worlds colliding.

Lucy Felthouse, Victoria Blisse, Kay Jaybee, K D Grace, Lexie Bay entertained with some very erotic readings with Victoria, Lucy, Kay being joined by Kitti Bernetti for a Writers Panel later in the day which brought up some interesting questions on the use of Pseudonyms when writing erotica.

After a very long and tiring day at Erotica it was time for food and after a search on the VoucherCloud app Lucy and Ian joined Victoria and I for a trip to hammersmith to a place called Belushi’s for Steak and DAMN! Did we get steak, it was without doubt the most tasty steak I’ve ever had and came with a serving of real homemade chips, none of that fries nonesense and the taste was just heavenly.. I’ll certainly be back there again before too long!

…And so our London adventure came to an end with a return through the fog to murky Manchester, it’s been an experience I won’t soon forget and I want to thank everyone who made it so special (especially the incredibly sexy Katie K who was lovely!)
