Naughty Rendezvous by Victoria Blisse

Victoria Blisse is a passionate writer, with a stunning command of character, setting, and most importantly, the erotic. She fuses these elements together to create delicious tales of erotic fantasy. Readers should not miss her many tales of erotic romance which focus on real women (and men) in real relationships with all the ups and downs (and ins and outs) that make life the wild ride it is.

Her latest is Naughty Rendezvous and is the start of a Trilogy of Rendezvous related temptation and delight, It’s featured in Xcite’s Ultimate Curves range which showcases characters with a little more to love, those that have curves in all the right places and are just a pleasure to behold.

Naughty Rendezvous is the tale of Leanne and Joe, she is a insecure single mum doing her best to cope, he is a succesful business man who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to get it, it sounds cliché but thankfully the writing was anything but, this was a tale full of firey passion and intrigue that left you genuinely feeling for both characters as they struggled to accept each other and the emotions revealed.

I love multi dimensional characters, it’s so nice when an author leaves something below the surface, it urges you on. It’s like the fish hook in your mouth pulling your home and you cannot put the book down till all is revealed. Victoria Blisse has a talent for this, her characters are always so full of life, they were their hearts on their sleves and she isn’t ashamed to let them do so and that gives her books a real depth, Joe might be rich and powerful but he has insecurities too and it’s the way they are embraced rather than glossed over that makes this a wonderful read, I don’t think I’m unique in hating perfection but it seems in a lot of erotica everyone is flawless and has perfect sex and it just gets so dull.

The plot here is a love story with a twist, boy meets girl, boy spanks girl, and that’s just the start of this tale of submission, defiance, devotion and love. I enjoyed the development of the characters throughout the tale, the pacing was natural and had a really nice flow about it, you long for each new meeting and share the pain and pleasure of the pair you really do get drawn into the story, Everything comes out on the page and you share it all and that’s the hallmark of a talented character authoress.

I eagerly looking forward to seeing the next two books and finding out just where things go for Joe and Leanne next.

Shared is a riveting tale of sexual awakening told in the first person, blazzingly hot throughout this is a sex packed extraveganza which I thoroughly enjoyed. The writing is passionate and honest with the intense pleasure Araine feels conveyed perfectly.

Full of experimentation and wild escapades as the lead almost looses herself in this new found pit of pleasure and desire it makes for some sizzling scenes that I just know you’ll re-read over and over wanting to experience all that Lily Harlem has to offer.

This tasty tale isn’t just about the lady though! The boys are stoking the flames of her desire as well as experiencing their own awakenings, these alternative personalities are handled well giving them real depth and leaving you with characters you really care about and want to see happy.

This was a book I raced through and really enjoyed, It’s a stunning exploration of the joys of alternative lifestyles and should be on everyones read soon list!

Loose Ends by Lucy Felthouse

The one that got away.. I think we all at least have one of those in our lives, it’s one of those special memories we turn back too from time to time dreaming of what might have been. That’s a fun game to play but when reality gets in the way giving you a second chance it can turn your world upside down and Lucy explores this very quandry in her latest erotic masterpiece.

I could really relate to Lauren and her lack of enthusiasm for the Reunion, I love the way that in any Lucy Felthouse book the characters are always given such well defined voices it makes for easy and rewarding reading that has that personal touch that enables you to get deeper into a story and really connect with the characters.

The rest of the ensamble cast is well presented, the busybodies and bitches making an appearance to really set the scene conveying the akwardness of such a situation before “he” arrives, the one that got away. I love the way Lauren reacts to that first re-sighting, it gave a lovely refreshing comic edge to the tale as did the story of their first meeting so many moons ago.

The Plot here is a delightful exploration of those many paths we do or don’t take and I enjoyed the intrespective naval gazing among other juicy tidbits but what really makes this story stand out is the red hot sizzling sex with eight years of pent up passion released in exquisite style this is one that really does bring the heat.

Wonderfully written this is an Erotic Tardis taking you back to memories of what might have been, definitely one for those long dark teatimes of the soul when you crave some real lusty passion to escape with.

When We Meet Again by Dawne Prochilo

Everybody Deserves a Second Chance.. I’d like to believe that’s true and I can tell Dawne Prochilo is of a similar mindset.

The Plot here is a simple one but it works well, after being given an opportunity to rectify the mistakes of the past Brynn embraces the chance wholeheartedly in what proved to be a delightful tale of lost and found.

I found the Characters of Brynn and Ethan to be believable and likeable, I loved the development from childhood sweethearts and felt the pain from life taking it’s separate paths, the difficult journeys they both faced yearning for what could and should have been. It really brought such depth to both characters and was handled in a thoughtful and careful way, too often now in erotic romance we are seeing a rush to the sex with no real understanding of the character or the motivation and it was refreshing to see another angle taken, it gave an ultimately rewarding reading experience.

The style of writing is relaxed and informal but with a passionate edge which was both refreshing and rewarding, this was my first Dawne Prochilo story but I’m certain it won’t be my last.

One to reminisce with… Thoroughly Recommended for the Romantic at Heart.
