When We Meet Again by Dawne Prochilo
Everybody Deserves a Second Chance.. I’d like to believe that’s true and I can tell Dawne Prochilo is of a similar mindset.
The Plot here is a simple one but it works well, after being given an opportunity to rectify the mistakes of the past Brynn embraces the chance wholeheartedly in what proved to be a delightful tale of lost and found.
I found the Characters of Brynn and Ethan to be believable and likeable, I loved the development from childhood sweethearts and felt the pain from life taking it’s separate paths, the difficult journeys they both faced yearning for what could and should have been. It really brought such depth to both characters and was handled in a thoughtful and careful way, too often now in erotic romance we are seeing a rush to the sex with no real understanding of the character or the motivation and it was refreshing to see another angle taken, it gave an ultimately rewarding reading experience.
The style of writing is relaxed and informal but with a passionate edge which was both refreshing and rewarding, this was my first Dawne Prochilo story but I’m certain it won’t be my last.
One to reminisce with… Thoroughly Recommended for the Romantic at Heart.
Vigilant by Michele Hart
This was my first foray into sci-fi erotica and it’s been an interesting journey, one that was certainly memorable and I’ll be visiting again soon if Vigilant is an example of what can be found in this strange new world.
This is actually a sequel to Luminous Nights, but works really well as a stand-alone read. The plot here revolves around an officer trying to crack a human trafficking ring, it’s an interesting tale and is conveyed with quite a relaxed writing style. I was worried at first that we’d have all kinds of new made-up terms for everything and it’d be a real drag to read but those fears were very quickly allayed as I quickly got a grip of things, making this an enjoyable, well paced read.
Yadira was a fun character and it was nice to see her develop throughout the tale. Starting out quite shy and reserved but coming into her own and taking control of her destiny, Weber was the alternative took grew within the tale also, learning that people can be more than the seem at the start, this is a lesson I wish more people would learn and Michele did an excellent job of conveying his growth in an entertaining fashion making for a compulsive read I raced through.
In a world where real angels and demons exist things are never really going to be what they seem but were as all this could have been confusing it’s been handled in such an Intriguing and well written way that the reader is never lost and I think that’s a real credit to Michele Hart.
This is one for those who believe in Angels and like their erotica futuristic, fresh and fun.
A Bit of Rough by Lucy Felthouse
A short sharp dose of Erotica with just the right amount of passion, desire and lust.
I loved the characters here, not much development but they come fully formed and ready for action and don’t fail to deliver.
The pace here is relentless and with the scenes well set, You really get a feel for the surroundings as you follow the journey from sofa to bedroom. Things flow nicely into the all important action and you eagerly await each new sensual description as you follow Alison on her journey down her new lovers body.
The plot is a simple one, when you want it, you just have to have it. At any cost! But Lucy delivers more than just that with her tale of attraction to the “bad boy” the one that scratches that sexual itch but nothing more, with a nice build up things move quickly from warm to scolding as the lovers explore each other every which way possible never missing a beat this is one story that will leave you gasping, moaning and crying out for more.
