Restoration by Victoria Blisse

Victoria Blisse is the XCite Author of the Month for July 2011 so I thought it was a perfect chance to review a book that has caught my eye a few times, the idea behind Restoration is most definitely interesting and different. This is a tale dealing with the erotic obsession between restorer and statue (yes you did read that right).

I was worried that having a story where a lot of the action takes place in a museum could have led to quite a stuffy or clinical read but none of that came to pass, the story blazes with heat and passion and from start to finish was a wonderful read. Victoria Blisse has taken this very unusual idea and crafted a delicious erotic tale full of sensuality and wicked desire. Theresa being consumed with images of mounting Priapus’ impressive cock gives the tale a lusty edge that’ll have you panting and craving also.

Now, I don’t like giving Spoilers but unusually for a Blisse book but this one does have quite a high shock value, but when dealing with Priapus, son of Aprodite, the goddess of love you have to accept that he inspires men as well as women and that Matt should feel an attraction to the statue as well as Theresa is only natural and makes for a twist that was unexpected but well written and really added to the naughtiness of the tale.

An unusual tale that is sure to delight, especially if you’ve ever lingered admiringly during a museum visit.
